Recording Artist Fawn, Chad Jack And Beagle Freedom Project Pair Up This Holiday Season

sm-FINAL-FAWN XMAS 2014 CD COVER FINAL (700 x 700)

Billboard hit recording artist Fawn and world-renown DJ Chad Jack release their first holiday album. “Angels We Have Heard On High.” Proceeds to benefit Arme’s Beagle Freedom Project.

Nov. 14, 2014HOLLYWOODOn Friday, November 14, 2014 World Wide Vital Marketing & Public Relations announced that hit recording artist and singer/songwriter Fawn, (also known as ‘Songirl’) and world-renown House DJ and producer Chad Jack are releasing their first Holiday album, ‘Angels We Have Heard On High.’

This is not the first time Fawn and Chad Jack have successfully collaborated. In 2010 they made it to #6 on the Billboard Dance charts with producer Tim Letteer with Fawn’s song ‘Wish U Love.’ Since the massive success of‘Wish U Love,’ Fawn and Chad Jack have produced other songs together which have aired in Film and TV shows such as The Natalee Holloway Story, Nickelodeon’s Hollywood Heights and the CBS soap opera, The Young and The Restless.
Chad Jack 2 (521 x 600)
“This started off last winter as 1 or 2 Christmas songs for TV, then turned into an EP, then grew into a full-blown album of 15 tracks – It was completely unplanned” Chad laughed.  Fawn added, “I think after Chad and I recorded the first 5 songs, we got excited and decided to do 3 more. Then we kept adding tracks until it grew to 4 original songs, 6 popular Christmas songs, 1 well known Chanukah song, 4 different languages and 4 remix versions.” Chad explained, “Producing this type of an album was definitely a first for me and probably one of the most challenging projects that I’ve ever been involved with to date. Challenging not necessarily because of the actual production, but rather for attempting to capture an authentic ‘Club / Radio Friendly’ vibe for Christmas & Chanukah songs that are not normally thought of in that respect.” He went on to say, “The end result has become something that we are very happy with and hope that many others will also enjoy for years to come.”

Tracks on the album include new renditions of ‘Deck The Halls,’ ‘Oh Chanukah,’ ‘Angels We Have Heard On High,’ ‘Jingle Bells,’ ‘O Come Emmanuel,’ ‘Joyful, Joyful,’ and others. Fawn continued, “During the making of this album, Chad and I both lost some irreplaceable souls who we were close to, so I wrote and melody and lyrics for ‘Another Year With Out You.’ She reflected, “Actually, due to the onslaught of angel wings being earned in the 10 months it took to make this album, some of the tracks were personally very difficult for me to write, sing and get through. So although this album makes ya wanna smile, dance and holiday shop, it has a lot of heart to it.”

Recording Artist Fawn Shannon Keith and ollieAnd the heart doesn’t stop with just this epic holiday album, it continues by giving back to a ground breaking charitable organization. One Third of all sales from the album are benefitting Arme’s Beagle Freedom Project, a non-profit organization that rescues beagles and other animals used for animal experimentation in research laboratories around the world. President and founder of Beagle Freedom Project Shannon Keith said, “Fawn is an amazing artist and we are so delighted that she and DJ Chad Jack have chosen to use their unique talents and compassion to support Beagle Freedom Project.

Fawn is bringing joy to people this holiday season with her joyous musical talents and we hope that the funds raised from sales will allow us to give freedom to many more laboratory animals.” Shannon continued, “Your purchase of her album will directly help us in rescuing more animals in laboratories.” Fawn explained, “’Tis the season to be giving and helping others, and I can’t think of a better non-profit organization to give back to than Arme and Beagle Freedom Project.” Fawn continued, I met Founder and President Shannon Keith almost 5 years ago and have watched her work tirelessly for the sake of making this world a better place to be in. She is one of the kindest and hardest working people I know and I support her and her incredible work. Not only is she there for any and every animal, she is always available to help other rescues and rescuers.” Fawn concluded, “It doesn’t get better than Shannon. She is the real deal.”

About K’Sandra:
Her inspiration came when she decided to put that rock feel together with dance.  In her music, unstoppable beats combine with a rock’n’roll sensibility in a way that takes listeners on a journey that pulls them into the moment and keeps them there.  The music sneaks into your ears at the same time it moves up from your feet, and meets in the middle.  The result is pure K’SANDRA – music for the mind, body and heart.
She comes from a background of discipline and commitment, qualities she developed while studying at a classical conservatory.  She studied music, singing and ballet, all the while developing her punk rock and rave personal style.  The battle between the sublime and the sultry meant that she would inevitably leave the classical world for the club world, but the two influences join together immaculately in “Light’n’Dark”.  She is a disciplined rebel. Former American Idol Kara DioGuardi Molested & Raped Music by Producer

April 19, 2011 by
Filed under Entertainment News, FEATURES, Music, TV Shows

US Magazine reported on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 that Kara DioGuardi has dealt with far worse things than judge-table spats on American Idol.
Nokia Inc.
In a frank new memoir, A Helluva High Note, the music industry vet and former Idol judge, 40, reveals that she suffered molestation as a a child and, as a young adult, was date-raped by a prominent music producer.

DioGuardi says that, at age 11, a teenaged family friend repeatedly molested her. “On one particular day, he took me into the the back shed of his house and put his hands all over my [body],” DioGuardi writes in an excerpt at E! News. “I remember freezing and not knowing what to do.”

Another painful secret: In 2000, as her music career rose, she went on a date with a “fairly known producer,” who sexually forced himself upon her after a cordial dinner.
iTunes, App Store and Mac App Store
“[W]ithin a few hours, he was on top of me, pumping, sweating, and speaking to me in Spanish, not a word of which I could understand,” DioGuardi writes.

She kept the violent date-rape secret for fear it would ruin her career, she says.

DioGuardi also writes of sexual harassment at the hands of a “hugely successful artist” who was obsessed with “Russian porn” and hiring strippers for perform sex acts in front of him.

Of her early season 9 departure from Idol, the star explains that she was struggling to get pregnant via IVF.

“I wanted a child and there was no way I could get pregnant under the stress of eighteen-hour work days and live TV. . . My desire to be in control of my destiny was larger than my need to be a household name.” A Helluva High Note hits shelves April 26; DioGuardi will next appear on TV via Platinum Hit, a new Bravo reality series debuting May 30.

The Recording Academy New Changes for the 54th GRAMMY Awards

April 6, 2011 by
Filed under Awards, Breaking News, Featured, FEATURES, Music

Neil PortnowOn Wednesday, April 6, 2011 The Recording Academy announced that it has restructured the GRAMMY Categories across all genres and Fields, bringing the total number of Categories to be recognized at the 54th GRAMMY Awards in 2012, to 78 (from 109). All Fields remain the same.
Wireless from AT&T

The announcement was made this morning at The Academy’s headquarters by President/CEO Neil Portnow, Academy Board Chair Emeritus and five-time GRAMMY winner Jimmy Jam, and Vice President of Awards Bill Freimuth. Additionally, a minimum of 40 distinct artist entries will be required in each Category (up from 25). Detailed information on these and other recent changes may be found at www.grammy.com/announcement.
“Every year, we diligently examine our Awards structure to develop an overall guiding vision and ensure that it remains a balanced and viable process,” said Portnow. “After careful and extensive review and analysis of all Categories and Fields, it was objectively determined that our GRAMMY Categories be restructured to the continued competition and prestige of the highest and only peer-recognized award in music. Our Board of Trustees continues to demonstrate its dedication to keeping The Recording Academy a pertinent and responsive organization in our dynamic music community.” Music Factory Direct For 53 years, The Recording Academy has recognized musical excellence with the GRAMMY Awards — the most prestigious and only peer-recognized award in music — and the awards have grown from 28 Categories in 1959, to awards in 109 Categories for the most recent 53rd GRAMMYs. This growth springs from a tradition of honoring specific genres and/or subgenres within a Field, and it has basically been approached one Category at a time without a current overall guiding vision and without consistency across the various genre Fields. In 2009, The Academy initiated a first-ever comprehensive evaluation of its Awards process, which led to a desire for change. A transformation of the entire Awards structure would ensure that all Fields would be treated with parity. Diligent research, careful analysis, and thoughtful discussion of all Fields resulted in an overarching framework and a restructuring of Categories to 78, and ensures that every submission continues to have a home.

In addition to the restructuring of Categories, two rule changes have been established and four Fields have been renamed. It is now expected that each Category shall have at least 40 distinct artist entries, up from 25. If a Category receives between 25 – 39 entries, only three recordings would receive nominations that year. Should there be fewer than 25 entries in a Category, that Category would immediately go on hiatus for the current year — no award given — and entries would be screened into the next most logical Category. If a Category receives fewer than 25 entries for three consecutive years, the Category would be discontinued, and submissions would be entered in the next most appropriate Category.

The second rule change is regarding voting. Previously, voting members were allowed to vote in up to nine genre Fields plus the General Field on the first ballot and eight genre Fields plus the General Field on the second ballot, including every category within each chosen Field. Now, on each ballot, voters may vote in up to 20 Categories in the genre Fields plus the four Categories of the General Field — which includes Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best New Artist. Additionally, there are name changes to four Fields: Musical Show is now Musical Theater; the Film/ Television/Other Visual Media Field is now called Music For Visual Media; the Gospel Field has been renamed the Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Field; and the Dance Field has been renamed the Dance/Electronica Field.

The Awards restructuring proposal was presented by The Recording Academy’s Awards & Nominations (A&N) Committee — comprised of elected Academy leaders from across the country representing various genres of the music community — and was voted on and passed by The Academy’s Board of Trustees — made up of musicians, producers, engineers, songwriters, and other music professionals. The A&N Committee spent more than a year reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating the GRAMMY Awards process and Categories with great objectivity and fair-mindedness, before presenting its recommendations to the Board of Trustees for ratification. While at times incredibly challenging for each member of the committee to restructure Categories in their own respective genres, the greater purpose of promoting unity within the music community and ensuring that all Fields be treated with parity outweighed natural inclinations to resist change.
